How
to Order
WELCOME
TO BODY-PIERCING.COM
The purpose of this section is
to simplify ordering procedures for those who only have
a vague idea about body piercing (silver jewelry wholesalers,
jewelry store owners…)
We want to facilitate your choice so that you'll pick real
hot sellers and reorder again and
again. To achieve this goal, we must first talk to you about
measurements,
material and styles of jewelry. Spend a few minutes reading
this page and you will find
ordering body jewelry much easier than you thought.
| |
MEASUREMENTS
Two
systems are used to measure body jewelry: Metric and Imperial.
The metric system uses millimeters while the Imperial one
uses gauges and inches.
As default, we use millimeters throughout the catalog. For
those of you who are
more familiar with the Imperial system, please refer to the
conversion chart below or.
| |
GAUGE
It
is the size of the stem on most pieces of jewelry. Basically,
it's the size hole
people need to insert a piece of jewelry.
| |
TIP
1.0
and 1.2 mm jewelry is mostly used for eyebrow piercing. 1.6mm
is the starting point for most piercing like the tongue or
the navel. Larger sizes are used to enlarge holes. This is
a gradual process.

STYLES
Piercing
Jewelry can be separated into eight categories
| |
BALL
CLOSURE RINGS
BCR's
can be used with most piercings. They are the most common
item of jewelry. Ball closure rings are used for initial piercing
as they are easy to rotate in a fresh piercing, thus making
them easy to clean.
| |
BARBELLS
Barbells
are mostly used for tongue piercings but can also be used
for nipple piercings. Micro barbells (1.2 Gauge) are used
for eyebrows.
| |
BANANAS
The
most popular of all piercing jewelry, bananas are used mostly
for navel piercings even though they look nice when worn as
earrings. Micro bananas (1.2 mm Gauge) are used for eyebrows.
| |
CIRCULAR
BARBELLS
The
main purpose of circular barbells are to be used on nipple
piercings but as with most piercings jewelry. they look fine
in the ears.
| |
SPIRALS
Body
spirals are relatively new in the piercing industry. They
are mostly seen as navel jewelry.
| |
LABRETS
Labrets
are used for both lower and upper lip piercings as well as
for the ears. In longer length, they can even be used for
tongue piercings.
| |
HARDWARE
not
exactly mainstream jewelry but increasingly popular, we classify
as hardware all
jewelry that has a larger gauge. Most of that jewelry is used
to enlarge ear holes.
On this site, you'll see some jewelry going up to 22 mm diameter
gauge. mostly plugs, ear tubes and tunnels

We
definitely prefer e-mail orders over faxed ones. You can download
a Microsoft Excel order form

If you write the order yourself please use
one line per item. When writing the quantity per item, do
not forget to mention whether you want mix
colors or each color as it gets confusing sometimes.

DELIVERY
We
keep a very large stock in Thailand and most orders can usually
be shipped in four days
( three days to prepare the order and one day for you to make
the transfer )
As you'll see on the site, our collection is extensive. That
means that as much as we try, if you order 50 pcs
of one color in a more obscure design, we might not have the
full quantity in stock. As a general rule, if you keep
the order at 20 to 30 pieces per color, we should be able
to fill all your order.
